I tend to agree with the logic here!
In a similar fashion, I have noticed that kids (freshers) from more reputed institutions tend to perform better than the ones from less reputed institutions for the same reason: They do not fear that the job loss will put them in jeopardy. With the confidence of finding another job easily, they can focus on work than the others, who find it important to keep their bosses happy.
