Traffic Irregularities & Cop Behavior!
When there is a continuous case of traffic violation at a point (for example, many people jumping a particular signal so often, many people going through a one-way road etc), logically, there are two things traffic cops can do:
(1) Check if there is actually a real need for the rule there (the traffic signal or the one-way) - many people are violating it but still no major accidents happen - so recommend to remove the rule.
(2) If there is still a problem with it, enforce stricter methods for vigilance - like having a cop right near the signal, have a cop at the start of one-way etc.
But what do most cops do?
They hide near a spot where the person who intends to violate the rule cannot see them!!
So what happens - the violator breaks the rule and when he thinks he is done, he finds a cop ready to fine him !! But will this really reduce accidents, for which the rule was put in place first?
